Who we are

RiskSim AI is a supply chain intelligence platform built and operated by a small founding team based in Helsinki, Finland. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform at risksimAI and related services.

02 — Data Collection

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, as well as data generated through your use of the platform.

  • Account information — name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Profile data — your industry, sourcing countries, company name, and supply chain configuration you provide to personalize the platform.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, queries submitted, and interaction patterns to improve the product.
  • Payment information — billing is handled entirely by Shopify. We do not store your card details, card numbers, or payment credentials on our servers.
03 — Usage

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve RiskSim AI. Specifically:

  • To personalize the platform to your industry and sourcing regions
  • To power AI-generated risk analyses, supplier assessments, and cost simulations
  • To send you relevant alerts and intelligence briefings based on your supply chain profile
  • To communicate with you about your account, subscription, and product updates
  • To identify and fix bugs, improve performance, and develop new features

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

04 — Security

Data storage & security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Render. We apply industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure environment variable management.

API keys and sensitive credentials are never exposed client-side. All sensitive configuration is stored as server-side environment variables and never included in frontend code.

05 — Third Parties

Third-party services

RiskSim AI uses the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each is bound by their own privacy practices:

  • Anthropic — AI processing. Queries you submit may be processed by Anthropic's Claude models to generate intelligence responses.
  • Shopify — Payment processing. All billing is handled by Shopify's secure checkout infrastructure.
  • Render — Cloud hosting for backend infrastructure and data storage.
  • n8n — Workflow automation used for internal data pipelines and processing.
  • Google News RSS — Public news feeds used to surface relevant supply chain news and alerts.
06 — Your Rights

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at risksim.ai@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may also have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

07 — Cookies

Cookies & local storage

RiskSim AI uses browser localStorage to store your session data, preferences, and platform configuration. This keeps you logged in and personalizes your experience between visits.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking.

08 — Children

Children's privacy

RiskSim AI is a professional business intelligence platform not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at risksim.ai@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify users via email or a notice within the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
